DENTURES

There’s nothing more uncomfortable than an ill-fitting set of dentures that prevent you from getting on with your life the way you want to. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be that way. With the assistance of our top-class laboratory partners, we can provide cosmetically appealing perfectly-fitted dentures that will stand the test of time.

At EnVisage we provide dentures that are now cosmetically improved and visually appealing.

We offer two types of dentures at our Falkirk practice, acrylic, and chrome.

Modern Types of Dentures

There are two modern types that we fit here in Falkirk. There are acrylic dentures and there are metal cobalt chrome dentures.

Cosmetic Acrylic Dentures

Our cosmetic acrylic dentures consist of acrylic teeth fused to an acrylic plate and are used to replace missing teeth. They can be used for a single tooth, multiple teeth, or a full set of teeth.

Cobalt Chrome Dentures

Cobalt chrome dentures are more cosmetic. They are a very discrete and comfortable alternative to traditional acrylic dentures and provide an effective solution for patients who require multiple teeth to be replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I need Dentures?

Implants are the closest thing to getting your own teeth back but dentures can still be useful in several situations. For example, when you require multiple teeth to be extracted and you want a short-term immediate replacement before any long-term fix such as implants or bridges.

Are there alternatives to Dentures?

Yes, dental implants can also provide an effective solution for missing teeth. This treatment is not generally available on the NHS but it is worth having a chat with our dentist Dr. Andrew Davidson to discuss whether your case is suitable for dental implant treatment.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment depends on each individual case, however, a denture from start to finish will take approximately four appointments.

Will my dentures ever need to be replaced?

We recommend that you replace your dentures every five to ten years and come back to see your dentist every six months so we can check the fit of your denture.
